Can I use these the following:
EMUprog

TOYOTA immo emulator - 2byte system

Does anybody know if I need to extract any data out of the ECM or Immo box?

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV
Advanced methods for experts:
◦ Type code / immo – must enter TYPE_CODE and SYNC from immo dump. Note that SYNC code
from IMMO usually doesn't match SYNC code from ECM!
◦ Type code / ecm – must enter TYPE_CODE and SYNC from ECM dump;
◦ ecm / immo – must enter SYNC from ECM dump and SYNC from IMMO dump.
Can I choose any off these methods or is one specific for my type of model/ecu
I´m attaching a couple of offical toyota documents that I hope someone will find useful.

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV
I did read the manual a bit more thoroughly and if I understand correctly I would be able to use SYNC from ECM dump as "Fixed code"
Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV
Anyone have a good dump for the 93C56 eeprom fitted on ECM? (89666-60511)
I´m using carprog and it´s behaving a bit weird when I´m trying to read.
It reads and verifies ok using 16bit but when I choose 8bit it doesn´t find the chip.
With the blank 93C56 I have it reads both modes fine

Did you tried 3001 as fixed code?
If ECU doesn't need matching - it uses fixed code. Possibly your case?

I did not but I could try that first.
"Another characteristic feature of ancient systems is that there is no OBD connector, there is no coordination of the motor through a jumper, and its prom is not always present in the motor. As for the antiquity - xs, it seems like the cars of 2007 also met with a fixed TYPE_KEY ... In general, the boundaries are very vague"
The car i´m working is a MY2001 with OBD connector. Doesn´t this point to a system that use more than fixed code as type key?
First I need to make sure the data in the the 93C56 is ok.
I found a similar forum thread and compared his readout to mine.
I´m a amateur but the data didn´t look similar.

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV

Tried fixed code 3001 today but car didn´t start (4 short blinks acknowledgement ok when programming with EMUprog)
The emulator led lights up for a second after ignition is turned on. Is this correct behaviour?
"Fixed code – store 2 bytes (TYPE_CODE for older ones or SYNC from ECM dump for later ones, usually
it is in plain). Place solder joint to short jumper on emulator board to avoid further rewrites. Emulator is
ready for installation. Although, TC-CG bridge method will fail if you try to perform it. Anyway, it's a
common method"
Should I try SYNC from ECM dump next?
Can someone tell me what the SYNC code is?

EFII / IMO line → to SI pin on emulator
EFIO / IMI line → to SO pin on emulator
No mistake here?

I double checked now and the wires are attached correctly.
Should the LED stay on when ignition is turned on? (ECM request recieved)

Do you have eeprom from original immobox?

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV
Yes. Before buying the emulator I tried a to get the car starting with a virgin file that I found for the immo box.
Attaching the orginal readout and the virgin file that is currently written.

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV
OK, let it be. Virgin dump is from fixed sync system.
Next question - are you sure ECU is original one from LandCruiser?
Fixed code system means - you can simply take ECU from one LC and place it to another LC without any alignment. Although, you can't use ECU from Hiace / Corolla / Avensis etc. with original immo without modification.
Another thing to do - check if your car has OBD connector and identify if it has pins for "paper clip" alignment. If so - you have new system where variable codes are used even if immobox looks the same.

Thank you for your patience Girts!
I can confirm that the ecu is the orginal one and also that the car has OBD-connector with TC-CG pins

try these:
TYPE: 3001 IMMO: FFFF
or
TYPE: 3001 ECU: FFFF

Re: Toyota Landcruiser 2001 - 1KD-FTV
I tried TYPE: 3001 ECU: FFFF today.
Made sure the solder bridge wasn´t closed
Programmed emulator according to screenshot

Put car in TC-CG bridge mode
https://youtu.be/sFUtkAEyUag?si=F9mFcCekbwDVDNRl
Waited 30min+, turned off ignition, removed bridge between pin 4 & 13 and tried to start the car.
Unfortunately it did not start. Same symptoms as before. Engine turns on for a split second then turn off.
LED on emulator stays on constantly when ignition is on, also when cranking.
Will try TYPE: 3001 IMMO: FFFF tomorrow
