EWS4 Emulation - CAS emulatio

Hi,

Engine: edc16c35 DDE6 535d e60
Engine is put in different vehicle (BMW e31 850i) together with DSC pump and all modules.


I just purchased BMW EWS4 emulator (BN83, CAS_BUS).
The manual shows only to connect "LINE" to "K-Line" for diagnose. But I think it must be connected to CAS_BUS pin 10 of my dde. (EDC16).
My car has only D-CAN on Diagnose.

I have a full set key, CAS, DDE. All works fine. But it is for a engine swap, and i do want to get rid of the CAS+KEY+JBX.

Eingine only starts when K-CAN is connected via JBX. (PA BUS is connected from CAS x13376 pin 20 to DDE x2412 pin10). Or shoud it be CAS x13376 pin 30? WDS is very confusing there. No engine start with PA_BUS only.

How do I read SK to enter it via configurator? I have working tool32.

Hi,

okay that is now disappointing. I thought I need a PA_BUS emulation. So edc16 is EWS3 with short ISN only. I have to read the chip via BDM100 and look at address 0x42 , 0x82, 0xC2 for this, correct?

Since I have now the ews4 emulator already, my question is, if that can be useful for msd81 (n54 335i)? (There I need long ISN, correct?)
