EWS 3.3 Emulator

Postby P1X3 » 21 Dec 2013, 17:56

On a website there is CAS,EWS3 emulator listed, but it does not specify whether EWS3.3 with rolling code is supported or not.
I have MS43 ECU and want to get rid of ews. I read on CAScontrol page that the software can read and generate next rolling code so even if current ews emulator does not support ews3.3, it should be hard to make it work, right?

Made a mistake in original post and it seems that I can't edit it.
Also reply in english or russian, I can read both.

but it does not specify whether EWS3.3 with rolling code is supported or not.

Both EWS2 (fixed code) and EWS3 (rolling code) are supported.

Thank you for clearing that up.

On "EWS3 emulator" page it is noted that emulator has 4 connections.
One of them is terminal 15 which powers the emulator itself when terminal 15 is powered.
Is there anything stopping me from connecting "terminal 15" connection on emu to my alarm which supplies 12V when alarm is disarmed?

Reasons for doing somehing like that? Dont mess with ews for alarm.... just cut power supply, fuel supply lines. Thing is when i read Your post, firstly You trying to get rid of immo then You trying to enable it by other means.... WTF?

I am doing custom alarm and remote start, and ews makes the whole setup complicated.
For whatever reason it seemed a better option to control ews, but as you pointed out, with ews emulator it would make more sense to cut power and/or fuel.

Edit:
With current setup instead of cutting power or fuel, alarm/remote cuts power to a relay which I installed on ews coil ring wire. But why?
For car to start there has to be a key in ews coil ring, and to lock the car when it is not running key has to be removed from ews coil ring.
This is the only "reason" I was thinking it would still be a good idea to control ews emulator. Thankfully you pointed out the obvious so I will just cut power and/or fuel and leave ews emulator alone.
